This indicator shows the concentrations of nitrate in groundwater bodies expressed in milligrams of nitrate per liter (mg NO3/l).
The index is calculated taking the average of the period 2000-2002, set at 100.
Frequency
Under the Nitrates Directive, Member States have the obligation to report every 4 years, delivering annual data.
