Wine
European wines enjoy worldwide recognition as quality leaders although the international competition is fierce. Half of European wine production is consumed inside its country of origin and another quarter goes to other Member States. Exports are increasing steadily in volume but especially in value.

Wine prices
Prices of different classes of wine from France, Germany, Italy and Spain, with some of the time series ranging back to 2009.
French prices are sourced from France Agrimer; other Member States have notified prices directly to the European Commission.
Wine production and opening stocks
An extensive app covering annual wine production, opening stocks, availability, area and yield per hectare since the marketing year 1997/1998.
Data are presented as totals for the Union but individual figures per Member State and per quality category are also available.
Wine trade
Monthly EU import and export data per Member State and per Extra EU partner country. Products are grouped in 5 categories of wines
(PDOs wines, PGIs wines, Varietal wines, Wine must and Other wines) and 5 types of packaging (Sparkling wines, Still wines bag-in-boxes, Still wines bottled,
Still wines bulk and Other wines). Data are sourced from EUROSTAT (COMEXT system), which implies a typical delay of 2 months for data quality assurance and
consolidation. Data can also be visualized on a map of Europe and World partners.
Wine short-term outlook
The short-term outlook is published three times per year and is based on the latest data and the reflections of market experts
within the European Commission. It includes also estimates and forecasts in addition to historical data.
